Project scope
To deliver the full stage 5 MEP design, data deliverables & point cloud scanning at our Grain House project.
Engineered Pixels have been working closely with Mechanical Services Ltd, Timeless Building Services and the Design Team to deliver the full Stage 5 MEP Design, Data Deliverables & Point Cloud Scanning at our Grain House Project.
The project is a mixture of CAT A & CAT B across a Basement, Ground to Level 05 and Roof. The exposed scheme was very important to get right aesthetically and we worked closely with Knight Harwood, Barr Gazetas, Scotch Partners & Elliott Wood Partnership Ltd to make this happen through collaboration and weekly modelling workshops.
As Lead Coordinators on the project, we were responsible for leading the MEP Coordination meetings and recording clashes/resolutions.

Challenges we faced
Working with reduced head height in many areas.
An exposed scheme is always a challenge to get right, especially when faced with a reduced head height in many areas. As the building is effectively 5 buildings knocked into one, there was varying floor to soffit levels to coordinate the scheme with.
Our solution
On this project we provided 3000+ hours of support.
Using our extensive experience and knowledge of exposed services, we were able to take to Stage 4 design and bring it to life, taking a proactive approach to the services coordination, providing solutions and proposals to the project team when needed.
