Project scope
A new development at 1 Berkeley Street consisting of a mixture of Hotel, Office and Retail space.
Engineered Pixels have been working closely alongside Michael J Lonsdale and the Design Team to deliver the Stage 5 MEP Coordination and working drawings for the Shell & Core MEP Services using Revit 2021 with Fabrication CADmep parts.
Consisting of 2 levels of Basement Plant, Ground to Level 8 & Roof Plant. Engineered Pixels provided a fully managed digital engineering service to oversee the model and drawing production.

Challenges we faced
Using our vast engineering background enabled us to proactively propose alternative solutions to problems.
Coordinating in an existing building has its challenges, utilising the latest Point Cloud technology, we were able to engineer the new design into the existing fabric, picking up any unforeseen issues before they reach site.
The team also had concerns about bracketing strategy in a few areas due to congestion of services. Engineered Pixels modelled the bracketry within these areas to demonstrate this has been thought of during coordination.
Our solution
The key to the success of this challenging project was the relationship we had developed with MJL and the team.
Having our own in-house Point Cloud Scanning division helped hugely, having this capability on tap allowed us to remain proactive, agile, and adaptable when the site team required it. We would attend site, scan the area in question and were able to present an alternative solution rapidly to enable install to continue.
